My Mission

Every single client that comes to my firm for help will always receive the best possible help I can provide. To always treat my clients how I expect to be treated myself and to always put my client’s interest ahead of my income.

My Fee Philosophy

Controlling costs associated with working with a financial planner is of utmost importance.  I pride myself on costing less than most other financial planners in the industry.  Costs associated with investments are usually the differentiating factor between the performance of investment A versus investment B if most other factors are similar over a significant period of time.

My History

I was born at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado.  I attended Cache La Poudre Elementary, Cache La Poudre Junior High, and Poudre High School.  After my grade school education I decided to attend the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado.  My plan entering college was to obtain an education that would allow me to start a business as a stock broker/financial planner/financial advisor.  In 2005 I graduated from UNC with a bachelor’s degree in business finance.

Immediately upon graduation from UNC in August of 2005 I started in the financial planning business with a regional broker/dealer.  After two years with the regional broker dealer in January of 2008 I made the move to an independent broker/dealer.  In February of 2017 I made what is hopefully the last middle man change for my practice.  I am now the President & Chief Operating Officer of Kyle S. Scott Financial Planning, Inc.

The primary goal of my post graduate studies was to obtain the CFP® designation.  In June of 2009 I began my studies and after some long hours balancing family life (I now have a wife, son, and daughter), work, and studying for the CFP® I passed the examinations and all requirements of the CFP® in June of 2010.  Today I continue work as a Certified Financial Planner™ Practitioner.
